New EDCO Steel Shiplap Siding on a West St. Paul Home image

This West St. Paul home is getting a serious exterior upgrade. We're installing EDCO steel shiplap siding in Mahogany - a rich, wood-grain look that turns heads without any of the maintenance headaches that come with actual wood.

Here's what we love about EDCO steel siding. It's not just good-looking - it's built to handle whatever Minnesota throws at it. Hail, wind, freeze-thaw cycles, you name it. Steel siding holds its shape and color far better than vinyl or fiber cement, and it doesn't rot, crack, or warp over time.

The Mahogany finish is one of those choices that just works. It gives the home a warmer, more custom feel compared to standard gray or white siding options. Paired with the dark trim, the contrast is clean and intentional. It's the kind of exterior that makes a house look like someone actually put thought into it.

We're still mid-install here, but you can already see how the shiplap profile lays flat and tight across the wall. Every course runs level, corners are wrapped cleanly, and the window surrounds are getting the same attention to detail as the rest of the field. That consistency matters - it's what separates a sharp finished product from one that looks off when you step back.

If your home's exterior is overdue for an update, steel siding is one of the best long-term investments you can make. Low maintenance, high durability, and it holds curb appeal for decades.
